A few years ago, I was making a map that I wanted to style after the antique USGS topos from the late 1800s and early 1900s. All the fonts I tested for geographic features, city names, and numerals were too perfect. Or if they were gracefully designed to look imperfect, they didn’t fit the style I was looking for. So I created one, and named it BellTopo Sans. My previous version of this website hosted it as a free download. Visit again soon. I plan to add it here as a free download again.
